Lamont and bloggers cleared of DOS attack

UPDATE (8:00 PM): I decided to up the ante and make a little video using file footage from the docunemtary Blog Wars and the news broadcast from WTNH.

Enjoy, I think you'll like it.

This is no big surprise.
The U.S. attorney's office and state attorney general have cleared former U.S. Senate candidate Ned Lamont and his supporters of any role in the crash of U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman's campaign Web site hours before last summer's Democratic primary.

"The investigation has revealed no evidence the problems the Web site experienced were the result of criminal conduct," said Tom Carson, spokesman for U.S. Attorney Kevin O'Connor.

State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal confirmed the joint investigation "found no evidence of tampering or sabotage warranting civil action by my office." Both men declined to provide additional information, such as what might have happened to the site.
And after all the accusations of sabotage, what's Lieberman's response today?
Calls to Lieberman went unanswered yesterday.
After all of Joe's whining and accusations, nowhe has no comment?

Yeah, got'cha, what a classy senator.

Maybe if you weren't so cheap and paid for a good ISP, your site wouldn't have gone down in the first place.

I can't stress to everyone how typical this was of the Lieberman camp as DINOBoy and his lying goon squad said and did anything to smear Lamont and his supporters throughout the primary.

Let's recap:

* Lieberman handed out baiting flyers, then not only deny that the flyers were race baiting when he was outed, but wondered what why Lamont and the bloggers (like me) were making such a big deal over it.

* Lieberman criticized Lamont (with the help of a softball question from Mr. Chief Political Reporter, the great Mark Davis) over his investment in Haliburton and offer no comment when it was found (from my favorite blogger) that Lieberman had investments in Haliburton as well (the third largest holdings in his "Victory Fund" mutual fund).

* Lieberman and DANGERStein criticized Lamont for having the support of Al Sharpton when in fact Lieberman begged for Sharpton's support first.

Oh, I could go on and on and on but what the point. Lieberman lied his way to re-election and the evidence is overwhelming. At this point, all I want to know is how Lieberman spent 387,000 in COLD HARD petty cash in a span of 12 days before the primary.

Trust me, we're going to get the answer to that question but until that time, I offer you this video in honor of Joe's non-apology.
